Researchers are at it again. They never give up, all the time painstakingly working to bust the myths humankind has perpetrated and has been following since centuries. Their latest research has something to do with something most men hold very dear. Researchers now claim that you can ‘literally laugh your way to bed’.
“… women were asked how intelligent and honest they thought that the men were and how likely they would be to go on to develop a friendship or a long-term relationship with them.
The findings show that men who used the funniest descriptions of themselves were thought to be significantly more intelligent than those who weren’t as witty.”
As soon as the results of this research were out, publishers worldwide have planned to increase the printing of joke books since they believe that their sales would surpass those of Viagra, now that the truth is out.
On the internet, downloading of comedy movies and stand up acts is expected to upstage the earlier champion – po(pco)rn.
There were huge celebrations among the contestants of ‘The great Indian laughter challenge’ and other comedy shows; surprising that they took this research seriously since they tend to take everything else as a joke. Russell Peters has now been approached by producers of po(pco)rn movies now that they have discovered what women actually want. Raju Shrivastav has also been approached by college students who produce and sell MMS’es.
Men have started buying underwear with cartoon characters instead of tiger skin designs. Most popular are Garfield and Calvin because women tend to find these characters the most funny. Andy Capp was the only exception here since women said he’s a big turn off. Even the producers of Andy Capp are wondering why the research doesn’t apply to them. After all, “Andy may be a lazy, old, unemployed, sexist, good for nothing, haggard but he is definitely funny”, they claim.
A lot of men are realizing that if they ask a woman “Let’s go to my place and have some Fun”, the women expect them to watch DVDs of Seinfeld.
Women who enjoy humor are now scared, since the Ram Sena has ruled that laughing out loud in public is obscene and flirtatious. Archana Puran Singh is embarrassed now that people know how turned on she used to be on the sets of Comedy Circus.
And very soon, you’ll also see a lot of male bloggers writing funny posts. I’ll stick to bringing you the truth. And the truth of today is that ‘A good joke is more effective than a big… Ego!’.
RP [‘One more’ thing I’ve in common with Russell Peters]
Haha…quite a funny post…loved every line of it…didn’t get the reference to Russel Peters…
The post name was hilarious enough 🙂
And this blogosphere has some weird working, I as thinking of a post on how people (not just women!!!) like people with a good sense of humour. Nothing like a good sense of humour.
I have moved to WordPress, this is my new address, do drop in for a cup of tea 🙂
https://indianhomemaker.wordpress.com/
Ha Ha. Good one!! 🙂

LOL@”And very soon, you’ll also see a lot of male bloggers writing funny posts”
:D:D
RP?:D yeah the last one on cotton reminded me of russell for sure:D:D
Now While that post was very funny, I must take this oppurtunity to say that I have been trying to write funny posts long before I read this post or knew of this research !!
so dont blame me !!! lol 😉
Honestly,sometime back I tried writing humor blog but I failed.May be I will try again
Sense of humour is a must. Otherwise, we’d all be little depressed souls walking around aimlessly.
Thanks for the laughs 🙂
hahaha…sales of joke books would surpass those of viagra…:))
nice funny post….but then its true also na…i mean even i would love to get a partner who has a good sense of humour….
and apt title 😉 😉 😉
Good one Rakesh!
@IJD: Thanks… RP – we share the same initials in addition to being funny?
@IHM: So you mean I’m popular 😀 he he
@Biju: Thanks 🙂
@Indy: Love it when women call me Dude 🙂
@Dhiren: Chor ki dadi mein tinka!
@Chowla ji: Who will you be trying to impress? 😉
@Terra: Agree.
@Reb: Yeah, I agree but somehow the thought of being funny and horny don’t exactly go together in my mind 🙂
@GM: Thanks
LOLLLLLL…U get a 10 on 10 for this one, Rakesh.
Simply loved ur post 🙂
lot of men are realizing that if they ask a woman “Let’s go to my place and have some Fun”, the women expect them to watch DVDs of Seinfeld..ehhehehhehe
Errr…underwears with cartoon characters? Ughh..zyaada nahi ho gaya?
*Wince wince
Eyuuuck. Even the thought makes me SAD and *off*. If you know what i mean…
S.
I see lot of them boys (men too) falling for the findings.. Well for me, I would say that might do the initial set-up but it requires more than being humorous for a long-term relation. Especially, if both are also planning to hit the bed sooner or later..
Btw, some great analogies there. Lol @ dig on Archana.
hah! u said it:)
quite true though, women have a tendency to instantly like men with wit.. but i thought it was tried and tested, they are claiming it now??:P
Rakesh u should hv left that sentence to be completed by ur readers. LOL!
**The findings show that men who used the funniest descriptions of themselves were thought to be significantly more intelligent than those who weren’t as witty
I agree. Men who r witty r more attractive and smarter than the ones with a BIG…ehhh ego lol!
But that doesnt mean men who act like stupid fools r funny!
Keshi.
@Swats: So you mean I’m as funny (read hot) as that Kundra guy? he he
@Sak: I guess, no research conducted on common people applies to you 😛 – You’re one of a kind 🙂
@Vee: Initial set-up lol… Sounds like forming a Company 😀
@ISH: Yup, the researchers were geeks so maybe they didn’t realise that earlier 🙂
@Keshi: Sure, you complete it with something else 🙂 I’m sure it’ll be damn interesting. he he
ok here it goes then!
A good JOKE is more effective than a big…pair of JOCKS!
lol!
Keshi.
@Keshi: He he… That’s why I mentioned cartoon JOCKS. he he…
Ha..ha..ha.. the title in itself is catchy.
A 'good' sense of humour works everytime….& most of the time its wht keeps the relationship going:-))
"Men have started buying underwear with cartoon characters instead of tiger skin designs."
Really??? tht dumb heh!!!
;-D
Good post Rakesh!!!!!!!!
Man, now the trade secret is out in the open?!? Shucks.
first of all the post title is too good… and you have covered every aspect..didnt leave even Ram Sena :)).. hilarious post dude..

@Solilo: I meant Ego. What did you think? 😉 he he
@Nancy: Anything to be funny you see 😛
@Masood: Yeah but I guess, the catch word is intelligent humor 🙂
@Unknown: Can’t say the theory is working yet 😦
